Port Gdynia - Logistics Center

Construction of storage and maneuvering yards in the Logistics Center in Port Gdynia, it absorbed nearly 85,000 m3 of concrete. On ca. 18000m2 - 2 separate yards for the storage of containers and wind farms elements.

The concrete layer thickness is at least 45 cm, which allowed to obtain a load capacity of 20 tons / m2. The top layer was arranged in one part, made of fiber-reinforced concrete. Total amount of nearly 55 thousand m3.
The project was completed in 2021, well ahead of schedule. The quick implementation of this investment was possible thanks to the combination of various paving technologies and the setting up of concrete mixing plant directly on the construction site.

Minerals DC Nowak was responsible for the comprehensive delivery of nearly 80 thousand tonnes of materials for the production of concrete mixtures at the construction site, ie sand 0/2mm and gravel fraction 2 / 8mm, 8 / 16mm and 16 / 32mm from the deposit "Central Southern shoal - South Baltic" .

The investment of the Port of Gdynia also included the execution of a linear drainage system as well as the reconstruction and construction of underground and above-ground utilities together with a reservoir and a fire water pumping station. In addition, the tasks included, construction of electricity and telecommunications networks, construction of two transformer stations, an open storage reservoir with an access road, as well as service platforms for cooling containers.
